@ScoWer22

Almost all criminals re-offend once they get out.

@EvolLove @ScoWer22 This is unfortunately true 82% of the time, but then there are the 18% that don't. I think the fundamental issue is that prison doesn't address the root cause of criminal behavior, the perceived inability to meet some life need in a non-criminal manner. Training in life skills to allow people to achieve this would probably greatly reduce the recidivism rate.

@nanook @ScoWer22

Prison is first of all a punishment. Second it is supposed to work as a reason not to commit crime. An while in prison they are not able to be a threat to people outside prison. All of that works.

I am not sure about the rehabilitation. I do not believe in forcing or helping people to change their behavior. I think change must come from within.

I mean that some should never get out again and I also believe in death penalty.

@EvolLove @ScoWer22 Problem is if someone feels they can't meet their life needs in legal ways no "reason" is sufficient.

@LoriQuaid @EvolLove @nanook

You two remind me of 2nd year law criminal law and procedure classes with Professor Bryden, a conservative who hated recidivism (repeat offenders). Damn, NAS are smarter than the average bear and beat yogi and boo boo to the honey while outsmarting ranger smith.
