I drove through the "bad street" in town. One-way on the bad side of the railroad tracks. Stoop squatters are out in full force.

(The only street in town with gunshot detectors mounted every block)

Anyway, two cars in front of me some black guy in a puffy jacket gets out and starts yelling at another black guy on the street, flailing about, gettin' amped up like an animal about to fight.

Cars backed up a dozen deep behind me.

Having left enough space, I turned, hauled ass down a side street.

Matt Hamilton

Had I not left adequate space for the car in front of me, I would have been stuck in a potentially life threatening situation like most of the poor bastards behind me.

So take this tale as a reminder to leave enough space in front of you so you can go around a car stopped in front of you to escape Gangbanger Road.

Goons of the State have no obligation to help you.

You're responsible for your own safety.

If it looks like shit's gettin' weird, peace the fuck outta there.

@eriner

Sounds like permanent route correction required

@EarlThePearls Probably the safest choice.

At least I had the good sense to avoid the situation, unlike the half dozen retards behind me who GOT OUT OF THEIR FUCKING CARS, presumably to "see what was going on".

Those people have zero survival instinct.

@eriner

A lot depends on how many rounds their machine guns have

I've been in similar no go zones involuntarily and GTHO pronto

@eriner @EarlThePearls

Regarding lack of survival instinct, look at the right rear wheel of the person that parked behind me to the left!

Right between the light rail tracks!

@viking @eriner

We had a flatbed with a BMW on it park on the main tracks through town. Train took it out

Here's a truck at the same crossing a year earlier

@eriner My niece always says "leave room for the zombies" - or more like, to escape the zombies.

@eriner Good call. They are unpredicatable.
