Daily Mail · Urgent warning to seafood lovers as scientists discover dangerous microplastics in six popular...By Jonathan Chadwick

@LoriQuaid

I guess I'm gonna die one day filled with microplastics.

@Phil This could be a new angle for the Fermi paradox: We haven't discovered intelligent life elsewhere in the universe because at some point in their development, they contaminated all life on their planet with microplastics, and later come to realize that this is bad.

@LoriQuaid @Phil

how many people died of microplastics?

can you name one example?

@mk @Phil I don't know of anyone who has died from microplastics. However, researchers have only recently learned such things as the fact that people now have microplastics in their brains, and that the amount is increasing over time. Right now only ½% of our brains are microplastics. And maybe that's totally fine.

CNN · Tiny shards of plastic are increasingly infiltrating our brains, study saysBy Sandee LaMotte

@LoriQuaid @mk
It should be investigated to see if this tiny amount of microplastics in people's brains could explain the rampant spread of utter stupidity throughout the world.

@mk @Phil Since I didn't get the shot, I only have microplastics in my brain....

@LoriQuaid @mk I hope I don't have microplastics in my tallywacker.

@mk @Phil "Scientists say they may have found what's causing so many unexplained cancers"

"After reviewing more than 3,000 studies on microplastics, researchers concluded that these tiny toxins are linked to lung and colon cancer, as well as other lung diseases and infertility."

Microplastics "can cause a myriad of medical problems, including tissue damage and inflammation in the liver and heart, and over time, accumulation in the body can lead to irreversible damage."

@LoriQuaid@noauthority.social @mk@mastodon.satoshishop.de @Phil@freeatlantis.com

scientifically it is impossible to measure the toxicity of microplastics due to the utter absence of a possible control group

@LoriQuaid notice how bugs are not on the list. Convenient
