@AdamAtSea How about not having an ID? You know like for voting.

Right....Welp, guess I'm going to go get me a phone exactly like the one they don't want me to have.

#FUCKTHEM

@AdamAtSea They don't stick with them long, but if the zoomers are allowed to play with the 'old phone bin' they'll probably try to RETVRN TO TRADITION (2005) for a little bit. Just typical high school shenanigans so they can brag to everyone that their phone doesn't accept app notifications

(I think most of these are taken off, we tried on CDMA a while back and they only accept calls, no texts

@WashedOutGundamPilot @AdamAtSea There was a point where I tried to push myself to take a break from the internet and my smartphone for as long as I could, limiting my phone time to 1 hour and 30 minutes each day, and man it was difficult. The ability to look up anything at any time is just too convenient, but also such a time waster to the point where I was really considering getting a "dumb phone." I grew to hate how much modern life relies on phones, and having to look things up in general. If I could I'd toss this thing in a ditch and forget about it I would. But then my family would be mad I didn't accept their calls the instant they make them

@cvstle @AdamAtSea I had like a 10-day streak of no recreational internet a while back, but had to come back when I realized people would assume I'm a mossad agent if I wasn't around when the kikes were tanking missiles

I mostly do it at work so I look busy, but I do like staying up on "news" and get cute pics

@WashedOutGundamPilot @AdamAtSea The cute pics do make it worth it sometimes. Now that I have my own dedicated computer I'm building up an art folder, feelsgoodman
@WashedOutGundamPilot @AdamAtSea between the forced VoLTE transition and the shutting down of the legacy GSM and CDMA networks, exactly zero older phones work now, in fact anything older than an iphone 5s likely doesn't work at all on any network.
@TeaTootler @AdamAtSea @WashedOutGundamPilot Yeah, 4G/LTE is the bare minimum in Aus now, the last remaining 3G networks are shutting down in a few months and 2G shut down years ago.
@AdamAtSea makes sense what better way to track everyone at all times. who needs vaccine microchips when you have google

@AdamAtSea If the government is going to force us to have smartphones hopefully they at least have the decency to treat it like a human right
