@PNS a $2000 1991 Jeep Wrangler can ascend that climb

> as a bonus, you'll save yourself $145K and not look like a faggot
@PNS @haberdasher all these 'truck' ev's are just a car, a big heavy rc car and its ridiculous to think they are efficient or good at what they claim they can do
@dictatordave @PNS @haberdasher Still waiting for electric motor gas powered... Huge torque and power when you need it, instantly, and less weight from smaller battery and engine. Pipedream still but hopefully within a decade if we don't have faster collapse than expected.

@BowsacNoodle @dictatordave @haberdasher

Not off-road.

SF90 Stradale.

@PNS @dictatordave @haberdasher >1,000 horsepower plug-in hybrid Ferrari
@PNS @BowsacNoodle @haberdasher i will agree all day long that electric motor assisted hyper cars are where that avenue is going, but it will never be a ubiquitous or reliable transport method, never

you could scale it down and make ev's more like the old k cars, that would make them more appealing, and their cost has to go down, like to the $5k or less range, not this 100k bullshit

@dictatordave @BowsacNoodle @haberdasher

I thought it could've been quicker to 60 but that's me, a pedestrian doing the thinking.

@dictatordave @PNS @BowsacNoodle @haberdasher tbh if you were 100% committed to it i think a sodium battery powered, 100-120 mile range, overweight, 65 mph tops commuter pod would be p doable at a reasonable price and weight

really the solution to mass transit is trains but we can't have those due to Socioeconomic Factors (tm)
@Paultron @PNS @BowsacNoodle @haberdasher yea i just dont see ev's in their current format being realistic and i imagine we'll talk about it in 10 years how it was hilarious watching a bunch of tards jump to a new tech that amounted to a zip drive in the grand scheme of things
@dictatordave @PNS @haberdasher Nissan put out an electric drive gas generator car in Japan. It was okay, but Nissan has been bad in a lot of ways lately. Dodge Ramcharger will be probably 100k for an "ev that runs on gas" with a claimed 650+ mile range and insane power. TBH I just want moderate power in a smaller vehicle that doesn't cost more than my house payment.
@BowsacNoodle @PNS @haberdasher did you see toyota's latest multi fuel drive trains?
@dictatordave @PNS @haberdasher Nope, got anything cool to link? Toyota has some seriously good engineering. It's fun to say HAHA PRIUS GAYBOI but they figured out how to mesh electric and ICE very well. I know they were doing something big with their SUVs but I haven't looked in a few years.
@thatguyoverthere @PNS @dictatordave @haberdasher

CHALLENGE THE IMPOSSIBLE

Possibility of installing additional equipment from tuning company ISIS

@BowsacNoodle @dictatordave @PNS @haberdasher the Chinese are already here
The BYD Auto Yangwang U8 (designed by the German who used to be the head designer at Alfa Romeo, Audi, & Lamborghini) is about the same price as a cyber truck but, despite being made by the Chinx, it's much more capable
>6" adjustable ride height
>Can safely wade in 4.5' of water
>Huge screens for the iPad babies
>Augmented reality HUD on the windshield
>Thermographic camera
>Integrated satellite phone
>Real leather interior

It's got a 2L turbo gas engine under the hood to charge the 4 independent 220kW (295hp ea) electric motors.
That's 1180 horsepower
It's got a 19.8gal tank and claims a maximum range of 620mi (probably closer to 400 imho)
It's got a speed governor set to 124.
0-60 in less than 3.6 seconds
@elftummy @PNS @dictatordave @haberdasher I want something like this built for regular people. I don't need my car to ford water or whatever. Just make it a bit peppier with better mpg but not cost 50k.
@BowsacNoodle @elftummy @PNS @haberdasher byd's flagship ev just burst into flames on the streets in china
i'm not impressed
and whats the price tag 200k?
how detatched from reality are ev fags?

@dictatordave @BowsacNoodle @elftummy @haberdasher

Chiner EVs are garbage. The crumple zone includes you.

@BowsacNoodle @PNS @elftummy @haberdasher i imagine every now and then when those insectoid chinks have a independent thought its about how death would be preferable to living in china
@HonkHonkBoom @dictatordave @BowsacNoodle @PNS @haberdasher But that's at the official exchange rate. If you get It from locals you can probably you buy it for just under 100K
Importing it is another problem entirely
@elftummy @HonkHonkBoom @BowsacNoodle @PNS @haberdasher 100k fucking dollars for something that will be dead in 5 years, i'd bet a milk shake on it

have you seen old teslas they do not hold up
@dictatordave @elftummy @BowsacNoodle @PNS @haberdasher Sure, but China did the not-stupid thing here, it's not a battery vehicle.. It's got a combustion generator that runs the electric motors.. so, it has much more potential... but, if China will realizes that potential in production, thats kind of doubtful.
@dictatordave @elftummy @HonkHonkBoom @PNS @haberdasher One of the reasons I like electric-drive gasoline generators is that they have way less battery storage by weight and volume, which means when they degrade its also cheaper to swap. You don't need to build the "skateboard" body style that so many electrics use either, so you can just put cells wherever makes the most sense in clusters, possibly in normal drivetrain areas since that's now free. This is what modern locomotives do, so it's proven tech. Edison Motors is doing this for semi trucks via conversion and it's giving them twice the mpg of standard diesel.

Beginning with a 1969 Kenworth Logging Truck named "Old Blue," they journeyed from Merritt, BC, hauling logs to the Yukon and drilling rigs in Alberta. Frustrated with newer trucks, they rebuilt classics from the frame up, expanding into power generation and off-grid solar systems in 2019. Their journey led to the creation of the Edison Truck, a robust electric truck tailored to logging and heavy vocational industries. 🔩 Upgrade Without Replacing: Edison Electrification Kit 🔩 Keep trucks on the road longer with the Edison Electrification kit. Upgrade your driveline to electric without replacing the entire truck. Ideal for vocational applications, this kit is a cost-effective solution. Unlike other electric trucks, Edison Motors offers customer choice. Choose between Rebuilding (utilizing existing cab and frame rails) or Remanufacturing (brand new frame and chassis). 🚚 Payload Efficiency: The Weight Balance 🚚 Edison Trucks match the weight of a normal diesel truck. With reduced motor weight and additional fuel balancing out battery weight, experience efficiency and increased payload capacity. The L series, though slightly heavier, remains comparable to a normal diesel truck. 🛠️ Keep Your Equipment with Rebuilt Trucks 🛠️ For vocational trucks, keep your equipment with a rebuilt truck. Edison's e-pto and control system integrate seamlessly. No need to replace your entire body when upgrading to an electric truck. 🔧 Bespoke Manufacturing: Handcrafted to Your Needs 🔧 The manufacturing process at Edison Motors is a testament to their commitment to customer satisfaction. Each Edison Truck undergoes a meticulous five-step process, from frame and rolling chassis preparation to final touches and rigorous testing. The focus is on building a truck that reflects the customer's requirements, embracing the philosophy of "Building The Truck Of The Future With The Quality Of The Past." 🔌 Electric or Diesel-Electric: Your Power, Your Choice 🔌 Edison Motors offers both fully electric and diesel-electric vocational trucks based on customer demands. @HonkHonkBoom @BowsacNoodle @elftummy @PNS @haberdasher who's able to buy that?
i thought brandon was banning chink evs anyway
so it wont be rich dickheads here
@BowsacNoodle @PNS @dictatordave @elftummy @haberdasher Nissan has their e-POWER vehicles which are full electric drive with a tiny little ~60kW, 1.3L, 3cyl petrol engine attached to a generator. They also have a small ~1.5kWh LiFePO4 battery on board for capturing the energy from re-gen braking and driving around the city without needing the petrol genset running all the time.
I drove a 2019 Nissan Serena e-POWER (7 seater van) in Japan and it averaged 6L/100km for a mixture of city and highway driving. I've heard they can get <4L/100km when doing just city driving. Super impressive. They also have e-POWER hatchbacks and SUVs 🤢
@Whitewall_Blasphemy @elftummy @BowsacNoodle @PNS @haberdasher i'm listening
but like with hogs and what not, shooting them from a helicopter would be best practice
@elftummy @BowsacNoodle @PNS @dictatordave @haberdasher All we need is some Kevlar/steel/plastic door inserts, Johannesburg car theft deterent flamenwerfers, she'll be good to go.
watching eurofags review this and they will not shutup about how massive the vehicle
@robbie @elftummy @PNS @BowsacNoodle @haberdasher buying a big ev is the faggiest thing ever
these electroniggers go on and on about how they're saving the planet

a toyota ran out to its like 300k mile life span will be more efficient and less of a resource drain than these ridiculous vehicles that will be tossed out like fucking fondle slab phones, if they dont explode before hand which this company in particular has problems with, and its hilarious
for sure, I just think it's funny that people think a small to mid size suv is so big they mention it 10 or 12 times in a 2 minute span
@robbie @PNS @BowsacNoodle @dictatordave @haberdasher Europeans are tiny and malnourished even compared to the Chinx party members (The kind of insects to whom this vehicle is marketed)
@robbie @PNS @BowsacNoodle @elftummy @haberdasher it makes their benis feel smaller than usual

but if it were me, like 100% honest, i would want the lightest fastest ev available, even teslas are way too big, i want a 2 person road racing demon

they'd make great platforms for a mid life crisis vehicle
@BowsacNoodle @dictatordave @PNS @haberdasher i cna't afford that shit, i got an 800 dollar k1500 that blows blue smoke when i take off from a stoplight that's the best i'ma get.
