I really don't want to believe Rackets was dosing his daughter with coke to treat her ADHD and/or narcolepsy, but paradoxically the more I think "there's no way he'd be that retarded" the more I become convinced he really was that retarded.

@Hoss You shouldn’t think that bc it’s obviously not true. There’s all kinds of ways she could’ve tested positive, most likely just an unclean surface.

Nothing would make me happier than finding out the test was somehow fucked up. It seems like some people are hoping it's true because it's another "own" against Nick, and that's fucked. I will hold out hope a 9-year-old wasn't dosed with coke even though the probability seems to be dwindling by the day.
Nothing is changing that probability. Perceptions may change, but that's it. That is a test I would have repeated by an independent lab if I were Nick, and since it was hair, time is not a concern.
So imagine that his wife chops a line and then touches or even washes the daughters hair.
As I understand it there are certain compounds that are created when coke is hydrolyzed and others when it's metabolized. Since we don't have access to the actual results, we don't know the full details about what was found.
I don't know what happened here, but I just have to assume that a father isn't going to give his minor daughter blow. I'm not a Nick sycophant, and I can buy that he was having rock star orgies with his two women and neglefting his kids due to drug use (I've seen their before and after blow photos), but I'm going to need to see some hard evidence re this other allegation.
It looks really bad, but despite my suspicions I won't go all-in on this allegation until we see some more facts.

Forgive my ignorance. Given my limited understanding, it could be one of a few things, right?

* Addicts (Nick & co) are incapable of providing adequate care and oversight for kids, kid got into the stash and ate some blow.

* Addict has addict-brain and tried to use coke as an "off-label drug" for kid's ADHD or something.

* The test is wrong (lab mix-up, contact not consumption, etc)

Anything I'm missing?

Those are the three main theories people are debating at the moment.

@Hoss @J @Humpleupagus @PodunkPotato

Ok, so I'm not too out of the loop, then.

My money is on #1. #2 seems unlikely. Can't really speak to #3 because of incomplete information and all.

Again, this is just supposition, but my guess is kid got curious and ate (or maybe snorted if they'd seen mommy and daddy do it) some blow. Parents probably didn't even know (until a freaked out kid came to them crying and flipping out), too busy being wasted and fucking each other. Again, just supposition.

#1 is still the most likely, but addict brain can make you do some seriously retarded shit.
Those are the potential theories. I doubt the kid got into the stash themselves though. I mean..... it has happened, but coke doesn't exactly smell or taste like sugar. More like somewhere between acetone or gasoline. So I think that at least reduces the odds... a kid is unlikely to get into something that caustic, though the odds are never zero.
