I'm not Catholic, but I greatly respect their church. They were the stewards of western art and science for over 1,000 years.

That being said, I liked Pope John Paul II a heck of a lot more than Francis.

Respect isn't the same as a statement on faith. Roman Catholic did keep western culture alive for 1,000 years. Unfortunately, that has no bearing on the status of the pope being faithful to God over man; he seems to be a servant of man and scientism over teaching God's path.
