Pavel Durov apparently knew that the gendarmes were waiting for him at the airport—at the last moment, he tried to divert the plane to avoid landing in Paris.
According to Flightradar24, the Embraer Legacy jet carrying the Telegram founder from Baku suddenly changed its flight path while flying over the French city of Reims.
The jet turned south around 7:10 p.m. local time, about 20 minutes before the scheduled landing.
Interestingly, five minutes later, the plane returned to its original course toward Paris Le Bourget Airport.
It is likely that French authorities and air traffic controllers forced the pilots to do this, although another theory suggests the Embraer didn’t have enough fuel to leave France.
During his trips to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan, Pavel #Durov was accompanied by 24-year-old "crypto coach" and streamer Yulia Vavilova, who resides in Dubai. She was also with him at the time of his arrest in France.
Up until August 24, she had been actively posting photos on social media from Durov's private jet and various locations where he was present.
The girl Pavel Durov wanted to show around Paris.
She was literally posting every step of Durov online with photos and geolocations.
