Who planted... omg hahaha... who planted the RICE?!

I guess none of these idiots know that white people worked all the jobs, too.

Except the rice. Show me an American rice paddy.

These faggots literally imagine history as being us whites making blacks and Mexicans and Asians do all the unpleasant jobs. Like our grandparents sat on their porches sipping julips and whipping boys.

@PNS Rice was grown all over the place for personal use, but railroads made lower yields less competitive. We grow a lot of rice in the USA, although nothing compared to corn and soy due to subsidizing. This dude is doing "upland rice" where you sprout it in a very wet area and then move it to a standard cereal crop style growth. You have to weed it like crazy because rice is a grass and will get choked out by other plants. You get much higher yield per plant with far less heavy metals or other issues associated with root rot common in flood growth rice.

The Asian girls in Texas are below average
Likely all boat people. I think they settled a ton of ton in Texas.
there’s a decent Asian community north of Dallas. mostly Korean.

I’m spoiled though. I have MIT and Harvard in my back yard. all the highest quality young chinese coeds you could want.
@s2208 @feralphilosophernc @BowsacNoodle @DEERBLOOD I know eggzackly what and where you're talking about. I used to go there when I lived in DFW to buy Korean skincare. It is not okay to have an entire town of Koreans or any other Asians in Texas. It is an ethnic enclave with no white people, nothing is decent about that. They have no reason or business here, except to feed off the carcass of my homeland. The east and west coast, maybe. No one there cares about their homes as far as I can tell. Texas is for Texans. Everyone not from here bitches constantly about it, yet they don't leave.

@LawrenceGerald @BowsacNoodle @PNS Southern food has long had a rice culture. I grew up eating rice and gravy more than mashed potatoes, along with a ton of other rice dishes. It's still a side at proper Southern food places. It's crazy how little people outside the South know about it in spite of being so close.

It's a bit sad but rice is disappearing just like the rest of Southern culture as the nationwide shaming campaign and Northern/Hispanic influx keep wiping it out.

@PNS There are 3 million acres in rice production in this country my dude

@poastoak

Yeah someone already rubbed my nose in it.

@PNS Yeah it's a significant crop in Southeast Texas as well as in the Mississippi Valley.

Doesn't come close to corn or cotton, but it's there.

WGN America had a slow called Underground. All the slaves were hot. I remember they had a couple of scenes with rice patties.
I figured they were making a fake show but rice patties seemed too out of place.
But someone in the US did it.
