People should use their real names on the internet. Property owners are public record. Phone numbers of everyone in town used to be distributed to everyone in a giant book.
"Dox" is retarded.
Still, pretty funny seeing @amerika mentioned on leftist schizoblogs as they revel in the idea of (ab)using the power of the state to enact violence on their political enemies.
Lol, what fags
I think if everyone wasn't such a pussy and just said what they thought, the world wouldn't seem so backwards. Forcing everyone to wear two or more faces seems like a pretty shitty world to exist in. It would make it SO much more difficult for the propagandists to divide people and encourage cultural schisms.
> It goes against the US concept of free speech
What?
@eriner
“What?”
Most writings in support of revolution against Britain were done using pseudonyms.
While most US citizens would agree with “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”, the current mov mentality in the US/World is:
“I disapprove of what you say, and you should be put to death for saying it.”
@eriner @Bunnyslope @amerika free speech must often be done with anonymity, as seen with the founding fathers often writing books and political commentary under pseudonyms. The internet is an extension of that
@sirjoho @Bunnyslope @amerika I differ in opinion that it “must often be done”. The reality is that it is often done for that reason, but that it MUST be done is not the case.
If people feel they MUST hide to exist, then they’re oppressed. They should cast off their oppressors, tell ‘em to go fuck themselves. Hiding is cowardice, and history is full of anonymous cowards.
IMO on the internet especially (robots weren’t printing pamphlets), *real people* talking sense is crucial.
@amerika @eriner
I seriously wonder where Americans sense of decorum went. I’m defining it very narrowly in this instance. There were topics that were taboo to bring up, even among friends and family. Namely politics, religion, salary, etc.
We need to find it again. I suggest everyone ingrain the following statement into their vocabulary (I know I have):
“Respectfully, that’s none of your business.”
