When I eat peanuts, I eat the shell.
One time I was in LA at a restaurant and my co-worker ordered an edamame appetizer for us to share.
I ate the whole thing, "skin" and all.
People at adjacent tables were staring at me like I was a horror from a Steven King novel.
@eriner i can practically hear their monocles clinking onto their plates.
@Richard lol.
At least all they did was stare.
Once when I was on-site for an assessment, my co-workers saw me eating peanuts (including the shell) and spent the next two weeks trying to convince me I had pica.
@eriner Same thing happened to me. How was I to know?
@krisjs1767 it is very chewy and fibrous, but I actually don't find that off-putting.
As should be obvious to all by now, I'm pretty weird tho.
I can certainly see why people would find it unappealing.
@eriner I'll have to try that.
@eriner do you eat shrimp like this too, shell and all?
@eriner I do that with sunflower seeds. Shell and all. Bit of added fiber. Dry shell on peanuts with salt requires too much water intake to offset it.
