Why in the fuck do I need to go in the option to activate the login and startup check in case a policy uses these options? Why in the fuck isn't that on by default? Why wouldn't this be on by default instead of making me go search for it. It's a simple check option, I expected more complicated by how the policies even triggered explained it

@coolboymew I wish I knew. All I can say is Jamf devs have spent too much time around Macs.
Once you get I configured, it's really a nice management tool.

@fkq1q2r2 yeah, I finally made it work and it seems to work nicely

It's just that the interface is somewhat of a pain in the ass. It also seems to be missing QOL stuff I've seen in newer MDM

For example, in Manage Engine I can simply install or remove a configuration profile without messing with groups

I know Mosyle also has an option to simply just run the script on x computer instead of having to make a whole profile for it

@coolboymew
For sure. Compared to Bigfix and Endpoint Manager, JAMF is not really groking enterprise. Seems like it is great for single use case across entire companies or departments, but is terrible for real world applications where each machine is different.
