@AlphaKiloPapa One side is funded by BlackRock, One side is funded by Blackstone. Both sides are funded by Israel among other PACs. Both sides fill their cabinets with swamp creatures and there's really no sign of anything changing for the better. Favoring either over the other is nothing short of ignorance. Just the fact of the matter. Dig in and take care of you and yours to the best of your abilities.
Isolationism has never been a viable long-term solution.
@softbear @AlphaKiloPapa it sure isn't especially when connection to community is so important maybe now more than ever, specific to the OP rather than throwing one's support behind a controlled political puppet as a fool's errand, make moves & make sure your house is in order regardless of which political puppet gains the stage as none of them represent you or your best interests
Living in suburbia, downwind of New York City, my rational choices do not include sitting it out. I will likely survive somewhere between hours and days in the event of thermonuclear war. In the event of complete infrastructure collapse, regardless of the cause, I give it a month. Going full prepper here is a fool's errand. The only reliable source of fresh water is 1200 feet down.
It obviously isn't optimal, but this is where I have to make my stand.
@softbear @ZeroSum06 A nuke is far less likely than other scenarios. A squirrel took down the grid for half the country for days in 2003. Being able to hunker down and survive several months will most likely get you through a doomsday scenario and is the most likely as it's the easiest to achieve.
